Hello everyone!
I've just signed up to this site, and I want to ask a few questions.
I'm very into city design, highway development, etc.
I want to invent a Great Plains style suburban sprawl mid-sized city. Some real-world examples would be Sioux Falls, SD, & Fargo, ND.
First, since I'm new to this place and what not, are there any countries/areas here that have a Great Plains - sort of terrain to them? Or a country/area that incorporates the square-mile grid system?
Second, I'm not entirely sure on the rules about requesting a country. Is there certain criteria you have to meet before you request a country? Are there even any open for requests? Do you get to choose the background and geography for that country (i.e. culture, demographics, terrain, geographical features, etc.)?
Third, will people get mad at me if I all of a sudden start mapping a city in the middle of one of the free access countries?
I might have more questions later - I'm sort of in the dark about this whole thing and all I want to do is map my own city. :)
